No. The ‘fur’ fabrics are acrylic and polyester, but each fibre or ’hair’ is highly polished, which is what makes our fabrics so soft and silky - and feel just like real fur. Many of our faux furs and faux sheepskins are now made from recycled polyester fibres.

Some of our products can be washed in a washing machine and allowed to dry naturally and others will need to be dry cleaned. Please check the individual washing instructions on the products. Faux fur does not usually require washing and may be hung out to air and sponge cleaned. Keep your faux fur looking beautiful and smooth by brushing it with a stiff brush. Do not brush faux sheepskin as it spoils the texture of the fabric.

Most Helen Moore faux fur products are manufactured in the UK at our factory in Devon. Items from our Gilet Collection, Cashmere and Wool Collection and suede and leather bags are made in China in socially responsible factories.
