How to Survive Christmas

Christmas means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. It can be a time for family, joy, stress, exhaustion or total hysteria! Follow these 6 easy steps to survive Christmas

Step No.1 | Take Some Time Just For You

Before the big day, take some time to step away from everyone else. Use this time wisely as there is unlikely to be much of it! Attend a yoga class, go for a run, read a book, meditate or simply drink a hot cup of tea. Perhaps take a moment to reflect on the year and congratulate yourself on your achievements.

Step No.2 | Get Cosy

Set a laid-back tone and dress for comfort. Add texture and warmth with the ultimate pair of Slipper Boots. Create an atmosphere that encourages relaxation with candles, cushions and faux fur throws.

Step No.3 | Give the gift of something unexpected

It is tricky to find the perfect gift for the person who has everything, or to break away from the usual books and socks! This Christmas give them something completely unexpected but something they will really love. Our Hot Water Bottles are a gift favourite for those tricky, 'hard to find for' friends and family.

Step No.4 | Go Outside

With the never-ending cooking, cleaning, hosting and entertaining it is easy to get stuck inside. Put on your (faux fur) hat, grab the kids and the dog and head outside for a walk. The fresh air and change of scenery will help bring everyone back together. The National Trust has put together this great list of walks to inspire us!

Step No.5 | Create Space

It is lovely to see so many people during the holiday but sometimes everyone needs a little space of their own. Help by creating areas that promote quiet time, make a nook for the kids to read books, place a lamp and the newspaper by the comfiest chair and put an armchair in your bedroom for a little escape.
