It all Started at Glastonbury
by Hester MooreAs we enter the summer our attention turns to one of the highlights of our year, Glastonbury Festival. It is a little known fact that we, as a family, have been going to Glastonbury since 1980 and it really is (in a very roundabout way) because of Glastonbury we have the business we do today! When we were growing up Mum and Dad wanted to take us to Glastonbury to experience the rich cultural and creative atmosphere (vibes!). My Dad is an artist so he printed some postcards on his old printing press to take and sell (I'm sure my entrepreneur mother had something to do with that!). And since that first year of selling handprinted cards under a tree opposite the cider bus, we have grown to have 4 stalls selling and posting thousands of Festival Postcards each year. We even have postboxes in the backstage dressing rooms so the stars can write home on tour!
A commemorative Postcard celebrating 25 years back in the 90s!
My festival capsule wardrobe:
1: Multi Vixen. The one pictured is in the iconic colours chosen by Fearne Cotton and is currently in our Summer Sale for £62 (normally £124) OR why not design your own Pick'n'Mix Multi Vixen
2: Big denim jacket - go big then you can layer up for the evening
3: Shorts are a must. Just add tights if it's cold.
4: Wellies, whatever the weather as it will save your favourite white trainers! I love these short wellies from Hunter, amazing colours to go with my Multi Vixen. My other festival must-haves!
