London Fashion Week is FUR FREE

A Statement by Helen Moore

"Earlier this week The British Fashion Council announced that London Fashion Week designers have made the choice to go completely faux in 2018. We are thrilled to hear that London continues to lead the way in fashion and has become the first major fashion week to be fur free.

Along with its many animal cruelty issues, real fur has a huge environmental impact. Animal skins are preserved with chemicals which stop biodegrading and many of these chemicals are harmful.

This is an exciting time for the fashion industry and we can't wait to see more designers adopting a more sustainable approach to their collections."

About Helen Moore Faux Fur:

All our fabrics reach stringent European REACH tests, which means that there are no harmful chemicals used in the manufacturing process, thus safeguarding human health and the environment. All acrylic and polyester have some impact on the environment when machine washed, however, as our faux hardly ever needs to be washed (no more than a real fur item) the impact on the environment is minimised. Each item has been made to last. We hope you enjoy wearing your Helen Moore faux fur for many years. This is not fast fashion.
