How Helen Moore Made Bespoke Stoles for Lily Allen's World Tour
I'm resharing this story from February, because Lily Allen's UK stadium tour is about to begin, and we have one very specific question...
---
Back in February I was sitting in the studio, staring at my inspiration board. There was one picture on it. Just one. A photo of Lily Allen on a sofa.
Then my phone rang. My brother Tom, calling from the factory.
"Hester… I've just had a call from someone called Douglas."
A pause.
"He says he's from Lily Allen's team and needs some help."
This sort of thing doesn't happen every day. So I did what any sensible person would do, I called him back and immediately told them we were the people for the job
This is why we love being a UK maker
I learnt a long time ago that in situations like this, you say yes until someone has to pull out. It's a fun game, and one worth playing.
Being able to design and manufacture bespoke accessories on demand is one of the greatest advantages of being a UK maker. We move quickly. We know our materials. I know all the best suppliers.
And this isn't the first time the phone has rung like this. We've worked with the best people on the best projects, from Chanel to the Tower of London. Want to see us shine? Send us a crazy enquiry.

Ten days. Three bespoke stoles. One brilliant sprint.
Over the next ten days, the ten days leading up to her West End Girl tour, our team designed, planned, cut and sewed three bespoke stoles based on her stylist's ideas. Lots of messages flying back and forth. Small tweaks. Quick decisions. Her team were fantastic to work with: polite, grateful, no egos.

We delivered on time. The West End Girl tour started.
Did we see the stoles on stage? No. And as I said at the time, that's the nature of these things. Creative decisions change right up until the last minute. Being part of the process is the fun bit.
But now the stadium tour is about to begin...
Those three bespoke stoles are still out there.
Lily's wardrobe for a stadium show is a different scale entirely. So, we're watching. And we're wondering. Might this be the moment they finally make it on stage?
Big love to Lily and her team. And big love to ours, for always making space for these slightly mad, brilliant projects.
We'll be watching from the wings.
Big Love,
